I’m a cinematographer and filmmaker currently living and creating in Tel Aviv. My journey in film began at "Minshar for Arts," where I studied from 2018 to 2023. This time was not just about learning the technical aspects of filmmaking, it became a profound exploration of myself. I sought to discover my essence and understand what truly drives me as an artist. Through this process, I built a network of talented directors, editors, sound designers, and producers, and I continue to collaborate with them to this day.
I find myself drawn to light and composition, fascinated by the idea of conveying a complete emotion in a single frame. In my work, I strive to illuminate the film’s theme without showing it directly, opting instead for delicate layers of blocking and camera movement. I believe in the beauty of minimalist lighting that allows moments to breathe and remain honest, letting the characters lead the narrative and surprise the camera.
Among the films I've shot is the documentary "Father, Stones and a Daughter," which was screened at the Doc'aviv Festival in 2024 and received an honorable mention. I also worked on "Shusha," which screened at the Jewish Film Festival in Jerusalem in 2023 and is part of the HOT8 film collection. In addition to these projects, I’ve been involved in various narrative films, documentaries, and video art projects that push the boundaries of emotion.
In my own directed film, "PRISMA," I confront some raw and painful aspects of myself. The editing is deliberate and slow, staying within documentary boundaries that leave no room for manipulation. We look into Yoni’s eyes, examining and experiencing his silence together. "PRISMA" has been screened at numerous festivals in Israel and abroad, including EPOS (2025) - Art and Poetry Festival, and it is also part of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art’s film collection. Each of these experiences continues to shape my artistic voice and deepen my understanding of the medium.
